Dealers at the Station Casinos make somewhere in the $9.00 an hour range. All their income comes from tips. Tips are split among all the Dealers that worked in the last 24 hour peiord.

And all the dealers I have talked to say Station pays a pretty good hourly wage.......

I have heard that dealers in the high end casinos, Bellagio, Ceasers, Wynn can make up to 100k a year, but I dont know anyone who has made this kind of money.

PS - Before you start thinking "Poor Dealers" think about what you see on the tables. I have seen people tip dealers over $100 in less than an hour, on a $5 table. Just imagine the amount of tips on a $200 table

sure, you're probably right. i have no idea what they make i was just puzzled to read their hourly rate goes only to $25 tops.
If with tips and all in they can get to $100K, now that is a more appropriate salary for a dealer. imo, any dealer on the high end casinos should earn at least $50-$60K to start and the experienced ones beyond $100K. that to me seems appropriate. as i said, they handle lots of stress and $$$. I have nothing but respect for dealers, and when i say "poor" dealers i mean that i thought theyre being abused by those meager hourly rates.

I am floored at everyone that thinks $25/hour (50K/year) is low (meager) pay for an uneducated job. You don't even need a high school diploma to deal... Just because someone stands on their feet all day and deals cards doesn't impress me.

That said, I do agree there are very good dealers and they get paid approperatly. The top dealers at Wynn do make $110K+ per year, which is why Steve made them tip out to the Pit Bosses only making ~$90K.

Most dealers I know make about minimum wage, and that's in popular Strip casinos. But they end up with six figures from the tips they make. The base hourly rate is awful though.

Here's a small, but typical cross-section: The Dealer's News- Home Click the September back issue.
