Default Real cheap for a month

Hello Again: It is 99% that I will return to the States and Las Vegas will be home for the first time. I was there for 5-6 weeks one time but that is a blurr to say the least!

A place to stay for the first month has become a major concern. I will know the exact job location soon but I want to fire this at you to get it started...
Thanks ahead of time!!!

I need a cheap room for my brother and I, no frills but it must be on the bus lines as I won't have wheels to start this adventure. I would love to bring my tent and do a nice lil place that allows tents, but I have been very unsucessful in finding much except RVparks on the northwest side. I know my brother said that the rooms would be skyhigh near the construction site so it is out of the downtown area. (maybe an hour by bus he said, from town)

Basicly I need a place to lay down and a shower after a hard day.

All the best,
Robert

what do you consider cheap? The budget suites (I think thats the name) on the corner of flamingo and nellis is cheap, 209 a week for 1 bed, or 279 a week for 2 bed--all utils included or according to trip adviser look into the Western Hotel & Casino 899 E Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101, the rate is $18 a night--dont know if they do extended stays or what condition the place is

the stratosphere sometimes has rates for 19 a night or used to, and the trop has 25 a night sometimes as well...

I believe that the western is still operating....also the gold spike is there if you dont mind dirt.

most casino hotels do not permit guests to stay for more the 14 nights......

Thanks for the info: Under 30 a night is cheap in my book. I have paid more than 18 for a campsite without electric, here in europe. I think the hotel casinos may have a problem with a working painter being there for a month??? So would a classy rv park!!! Spike sounds worse than the streets???

Maybe the stratosphere or the trop would work if I changed clothes and cleaned up a bit after work??? Play the tourist from Germany Come on guys and gals, give me a solid lead.

True, I was actually surprised to find that it dips to the 20's. Is that for a week here and there like South Florida or is LV winter really bitter?

going into the 20's is VERY rare.....more like the high 30's with dips to freezing.....sometimes in Dec or Jan it will saty like that for 4-5 days....but again....pretty rare.....
