The Orleans buffet is pretty decent and really cheap if you can get a hold of their 2 for 1 coupons, me and the wife ate there the other day for a total of $10.67.
That is an excellent tip. Join a few slot clubs (the ones that cater to locals, such as Stations and Coast are the most generous with comps) and you will usually get restaurant discount coupons every month. The Silverton has some nice restaurant discounts as well.

Stay away from the Sahara. According to my sister, the scene in Vegas Vacation is pretty accurate.
That's a great movie. "Give me some of the yellow, and don't get cheap on me!"

On the Strip the Las Vegas Hilton has a good buffet, and if you're in their slot club you usually get a two-for-one offer every month for the buffet.
