When people on this forum say no way, that means you probably can...they are in denial about the dramatic daily price plunges. Hell, ziprealty just changed their search parameters so you don't have to include everything up to 100K. You can start with 50K or 75K.
They generally don't go together. Places with a reasonable strip view will not be in the bottom price range. There can always be an exception but it is reasonably rare. The strip view has at least a little value.

Actually though the condo pricing has only broken over the last 90 days. It was a strange phenom...the little houses moved down and clobbered sales of the condos but they sat right there for months. I had a couple of condo listings but I got everybody to rent. Maybe try to sell them in 2010 or 2011.

I was out there for the first time this weekend. Holy Crap the view of the Strip and downtown is breathtaking. I was at this place were you can pull off the road and just stare.

I lived up past Los Feliz and Hollywood, actually on the last street in Las Vegas. Had a awesome view of the entire valley. My house sold in a week! I loved that view.

Good work Yeti! A good view would be great but the driving with LV traffic would be horrible.

Keep looking for those views -and if you can find something closer in COOL!

I can't imagine there being any homes anywhere in the city that don't have an awesome mountain view from what I've seen. Views of the strip, I dunno tho I can't help you there.

The area around Blue Diamond Road sw of the strip seems about 200-400 ft higher than strip elevation. Wouldn't the view be nice there? It seems about 6 miles away.

Is that correct?

Is traffic to and fro the strip reasonable or as bad as other areas?

Is this a good area to live in- crime wise?
