You know Vegasman, you seem to find the worst news about this state, and then post it on every Vegas related message board on the net. Rather strange. Its almost as if you are happy about things being slow in town.

I agree. In a world where there is no shortage of means of communication these days, he thinks we might somehow have missed this. I heard it on the news last night, this morning and on the radio dropping my daughter off.

So, rest assured, you are not "enlightening" us with anything new.

Thanks, anyway.

Some people love to feed of the misery and worries of others. Somehow makes them feel better about themselves. Its pretty sad.

Bro,

In psychology, it is called venting.

Instead of watching tv all day, read a book.

This is truly awful news.

It's the single largest monthly drop in state history.

Things are going to get pretty dire, pretty quick. If anybody here has a job connected to gambling revenues, they need to seriously start thinking about trying to find work elsewhere if at all possible. This ain't bouncing back anytime soon so "hanging there" won't be an option. Good luck to all.

What do you suggest? Join BofA? How about an automotive job?

It is bad news no doubt. And may well get worse. But the strip remains operationally profitable.

"Dire" is when a major resort closes.

It is very easy to hang in there but with negitive numbers (going to get worse) how to you hang in there? When you see Mcdonalds not hiring, you know we are all in trouble.

The bad thing about Vegas is that its totally dependant upon the tourists money. Without the tourists money, LV is just sand in a desert. I'm starting to hate myself thinking that LV was the place to be.
