Well the friend i'm moving with is engaged to the manager of the palms so i'm pretty much good there with a job and all i was just more a less woundering how the people in vegas are and are the tips for cocktail servers as good as everyone says they are. I would be serving well finishing school. Also is it a good place to meet people and move forward with my life being only 22. Like i said before i would be giving up my boyfriend of 3 1/2 years because he doesn't agree with the move and hes very over portective.

Las Vegas has a lot of entertainment. There's something for everyone. It has the best of the best restaurants, hair and nail salons, massage places, spa treatments, and shopping at Caesars is fun as well. I'm sure a 22 yr old girl won't miss her boyfriend when she gets all of that and more. You'll be fine.

I hate to be a naysayer--I heard the same things when I told people I was moving out here. Its now been two years, and I am incredibly burned out--its hot, a lot of traffic, flaky people, ridiculous city planning (the suburbs are beautiful at first site, but the homes are WAY too close.) I agree with the other person, in that I hate to discourage people from coming out here--many many people have found success--me for one, have an excellent job and go to UNLV full time. Its just the city itself is incredibly congested and people move in and out constantly. Your young, I'd say go for it.

I agree Vegas is not quite heaven bc it is hot, all the mafia men burying people in the desert, drugs are rampant, girls getting into the sex slave industry.

But hey there's so much sheer luxury in Vegas you CAN live like a King or a Princess if your a girl. Did bad on a test? No problem a nice spa and massage treatment is just the right prescription
haha. Just broke up with your gf? No problem call over 4-5 girls to dance for you and have a grand ol party haha. Etc etc

Not everyone has unlimited funds to be frivilous like that. More likely they may opt to drink their pain away-available 24/7.

Not to mention those things are just bandaids for your wounds.

Don't listen to Lex, Vanessa. He was dropped on his head when he was a child...repeatedly.

Lex: The best thing to do when you do bad on a test is to study harder, not party. Likewise, when your gf/bf breaks up with you. It's a time for quiet introspection, and healing. I was engaged 14 years ago, and she broke it off. I was crushed. The last thing I would have wanted at that time was for five or six strippers to come over and shake their mambos in my face. Besides, I was living in Napa, CA at the time, and they didn't have such things.

I can see why! If she "broke it off", there's nothing any number of strippers could have done in that situation!

And unless your living off mommy and daddy's money, I don't know to many college students who could, or should, afford to live like that.

I seriously doubt that you are anything like how you are portraying yourself to be. The internet is a wonderful thing! You can sit in your single wide trailer and invent a whole new identity!

You seem obsessed with having girls around all the time, and have expressed not having an issue with paying them to be there. I am sorry, but the day I have to pay someone to spend time with me will be a sorry day indeed.

Hmmm...maybe Lex is trying to make for his...short comings? Maybe if he's really good this year Santa will bring him a new Corvette for Christmas.
