okay...so I found out my job is not in las vegas but in boulder city.

I'm not going to be buying a home for awhile but it does not look like there are many apartments in boulder city...and if there is, where or how can I find them while I am far away? Should I be looking in henderson? I just want a nice, fairly new and clean apartment -- just a one bedroom with a nice swimming pool.

anything people can tell me about boulder city would also be of interest to me, I have read a bit here but am always interested in learning more!

thanks.

You should probably be looking in Henderson, although I don't think there are many good apartment complexes in the area of Henderson close to Boulder City. I don't think there are apts. in Boulder City, but I could be wrong. Boulder City is a beautiful town. Don't expect to find many shopping there from major chains. The town reminds me of a little town on the Jersey Shore that I grew up in and still visit every year. It doesn't feel like it fits in with the Las Vegas Valley, Boulder City is pretty safe and it is very nicely kept up.

I drive through it often but I've never known anyone who lived there. It doesn't seem like it fits in with Vegas at all. Totally different feeling.

I'm sure it is lower crime and the homes seem to be well maintained. It was an expensive place to live but it may be more reasonable now. Not much for rental property. No streets full of apartment complexes.

It's not totally boonies and full of creatures!

I know someone that lives there. Rentals are extremely hard to get and are expensive if you get them. Henderson is your best bet.
