That's a shame if it's true. That means the low lifes that have taken over that area of town won.

Where are all of the little gang bangers going to hang out? Guess Meadows Mall will be taken over soon.
Not sure if thats in the works or not. I havent heard anything, but it would not surprise me if they closed it up.

Very true, I call it Ghettos Mall--its already pretty rough as it is. Teeniebop gangbangers heckeling people outside Aeropostle--awesome shopping atmosphere.

I have never seen gang bangers over there, but then, I shop in the mornings usually.
I'd hate to see it go. That's my Macy's! Maybe they'll find a new anchor store, although, that seems doubtful in this economy.

The Boulevard Mall was our first totally enclosed mall in Las Vegas. I used to fly kites and ride my Jeep in the desert with my daughter where it is now. People like Johnny Carson had homes a block over on the golf course. It was the best area of town. From 1998 to 2005, I worked directly across the street from the Boulevard Mall and had lunch there frequently. During that time the area was considered by Metro as the highest crime area in town. Even worse than the area around East Fremont. As I would leave my office, no matter what time of day or night, I never failed to see them putting someone in handcuffs. A kid was beaten to death by gang-bangers in the food court of the mall right in front of his parents. A woman shop lifter was run over by a car right in front of my office as she was running from mall security. Whenever I went in there the place was crowded with gangs of kids dressed like gang bangers loitering all over the mall, making it feel dangerous to ordinary shoppers, and creating problems for security. They have had to beef up security so it looks like an armed camp now. It's not my fault that gang bangers are mostly minorities, or that so many minority kids dress like gangster wannabees. But if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck...etc, etc. Besides I didn't say gang-bangers...I said lowlifes. Not all lowlifes are minorities, nor all minorities lowlifes, but if minorities or anyone else don't want to considered lowlifes they shouldn't act like it.
