Do not move to LV without any savings. I'm not even sure it's worth moving there with modest savings but without employment lined up. The way the economy is going (especially in places like Vegas), jobs are likely to be more competitive than usual.

They say it's hard to find employment without a local address and phone number, however. It's easy to get a 702 cell, so look into that. If you have a job lined up or a very serious prospect, only then should you even think about making the move.

That would be great. I would have about a thousand dollars. I would use a cheap hotel as an address.

i know plenty of people that don't have 702 cells and they still got jobs with those numbers...i think its more of an address thing...

as a person that does interviewing and hiring for our office....I could care less what the area code of your cell is.....I want to know....do you live in Las Vegas? If you don't then you probably arent going to get in the front door. Because within the hour after we make an offer, you are going to be doing your drug test.....if you have to 'catch a flight' we wont bother.

What's the most economical way for someone looking for work in the LV area (who lives elsewhere Full Time) to have a local address while they are on the job search? I know those extended stay places can add up. Not that it's relevant, but wasn't that where the Ricin case at an LV extended stay place?
