I have some good news and some not so good news. You won't need a green card. Post-NAFTA, TN status will suffice, which is a very streamlined process. However, one of the things you'll need to provide at the US/Candada border to be granted TN status, is proof of a job offer in the US.

Unfortunately after checking the above site, 85% of the jobs you felt didn't look too bad were what is called "grunt" jobs. Many of them were commission only, no benefits and offered salaries of $8.00 per hour. That would net out to about $225 a week which could provide an existance, not a lifestyle.

8.00 an hour wouldnt be a salary.
Youre basically telling me youre too good for "85%" of the jobs posted. So its not that theres no jobs, its that people are too picky and not willing to do what it takes to survive. That makes alot more sense then that theres no jobs.
