You guys are great....what a wonderful website. I plan to rent for the first year, then possibly buy depending on how the job and the housing markets are going.

How noisy is it living so close to the airport? That's one thing that bothers me about the south end of town.

I heard more noise when i lived in Green Valley Ranch than i did where i live now, but the only noise i hear is at town square, it doesn't come too far south on las vegas boulevard and i haven't really heard it anywhere in 89123, your close to the airport, but it doesn't generate much noise unless you're under a flight path, over here, you're not under a flight path, since the planes go southwest and not south

Everywhere you go in the valley, you will hear some air traffic noise. If it isn't jets from Nellis, it's planes from McCarran, and helicopters all over the place. And lots of pigeons..they sometimes fly hundreds at a time, so I figure they count as air traffic...only thing different, they poop as they fly, luckily planes do not.

not to mention the air missles launched from the pigoens can be messy and dangerous as huge blobs of crap fall on your windshield.
