You need to look at tipping sorta as a small investment for you and your car. Yes, you do sometimes tip on the way in than you can be pretty sure you will have good service or a great spot. Valets pay special attention to those who tip well just like any other tip base job. one to two dollars come on thats just plain cheap! If the valet is constantly taking care of you than you should do the same. You want good service and want to impress your date than you will recieve better service if you show some appreciation. Also, being a valet does involve long hours their is more to it than just running and remember they are babysitting your car. So i hope more people will be a bit more appreciative next time you valet.

Exclamation Valet Gratuity

Tipping a 5 bucks is a good tip, but the weather conditions also play into the equation. Keep on tipping 5 because valets will appreciate that and you will be remebered and recieve special attention.

Tipping on the way in is not normal. If you really want your car sitting in the local lot try 20 or 50. But otherwise no.

If you are trying to make the valet list and us a particular valet a lot you might try five bucks on leaving. But for the normal occassional use two is more than sufficient and they will get by on one.

Come on we live here. $2 is more than sufficient.

Now if I just won 5 grand...but then again I will never win 5 grand...cause I don't gamble at that level.
I totally agree with all of the above, including no tipping when dropping off, but sometimes wonder if I should now tip three, four, or even five, since I've tipped the same forever.

$5 out, never in. I think the only time you tip in like $20+ is w/ a high end car you want left out front and many casinos dont even have that option.
