if you can stay downtown for 32 a night during spring break week, you would be insane not to book it.. ive stayed at the club, not a bad place at all.. plus i love freemont street.. carl ferris (plays saxophone on freemont street) is awesome plus there is a piano guy that is very good also.

Some areas of North Las Vegas are okay, Aliante is nice, but I wouldn't recommend anywhere close to the base. I teach at a school near there and the kids are really bad, gangs, drugs etc. Summerlin is better, but I would avoid Vegas as a whole, I hate it here and can't wait to move away. I miss the ocean and the community of a small town, Vegas has no sense of community.

Las Vegas is what you make of it. There is a sense of community here if you get out and get involved with your neighbors, the community, etc.
And Las Vegas isn't for everyone. Small towns are great, living near the ocean is as well. I wouldn't mind that myself. But for now, I live here and I enjoy it immensely.

why is it that the vegas bashers either have very few posts and little reputation or don't even live here?

I've noticed that too. I'm really getting tired of responding to them, so I think i'll just put them on ignore in the future.

Thanks. I'm looking for a good area for a family that is within reasonable driving distance to Nellis. Seems like all my research always points back to Aliante. Is this the only nice place in NLV?

What is the area W. Alexander Rd and N. Buffalo Drive like? Is this a safe area as well my agent is wanting to show me a house in this area but I was told that it was not a safe area, what are your views on this area. Thank you.
