Default Filing my taxes..but which state?

Like the title says.. I moved to Vegas from Hawaii this past August. I have been employed in hawaii up until I have move here. During the month of Nov. I started working as a seasonal at the strip and my boss decided to keep me as a part-timer. My question is, since I will be having my W2's from Hawaii and from Nevada, which state would I file my taxes under?

thanks in advance

You have to file in Hawaii if they have state income tax. But you don't put down your Nevada earnings. Being that Nevada has no state income taxes, you don't file anything.

I'm not a tax professional I just play one on TV. Your mileage may vary.

If you need help, send me a message. We lived in LV for years and then when we moved over a stretch of 2 different tax years to Hawaii, I found a great CPA who is in Henderson, and worked 18 years or so in Hawaii. So he is an expert on both Hawaii tax issues and Federal taxes.

Flyingtigers is correct; you will need to file Hawaii state income tax as a (now) non-resident......so be sure and use the right forms! And, a federal return.
