I need a haircut! Badly! I hate going to chain places like Great Clips, I also don't like yuppy snobby spa type atmospheres. I really like the more cutting edge (hah no pun intended) fun and relaxed type salons. Can anyone recommend a place like this? I'm searching online and finding nothing but Great Clips and day spas. While lower prices are of course more appealing, I have NO PROBLEMS paying for a great hair cut. It's my one indulgence

Try Salon On the Lake in Desert Shores, or Kelly Cardenas Salon. Both are hip, trendy...but pricey.

I don't have the numbers but you can look them up online in the phone book, both are located here in Las Vegas.

Nothing like a great haircut to make you feel great all over. Indulge and enjoy!

I went to Jason at the Roni Josef salon on Ann or Craig or something way out there NW. Wow, it's about time for another hair cut. He was great (cut and color) and affordable. Let me know if you're interested and I will DM you his # and location (i forget exactly where the salon is, i'll have to look it up)

Thanks, MomMom...I've resorted to total bald now and shave my head on a regular basis...got rid of the stuff on the sides...who needs it, anyway? Mrs O didn't think she'd like it at first...but has now taken to it and actually prefers it that way.

Now, I look like this --->

Thanks for the suggestions! I can't find Salon on the Lake. I looked up Kelly Cardenas though and it's WAY far from me. I'm in the far northwest corner. That place appears to be in the far southwest area, about 30-45 min drive. That's a bit far for me to go for a haircut considering I have to bribe the hubby into babysitting for my indulgence LOL

I may try the Roni Josef place if no one else has any other suggestions??

I'm in the 89143 zip code, so anything around Centennial would be awfully convenient but it seems to be mostly day spa type places here, which isn't really my bag.
