Well one thing you have to consider if you plan to live there full time is that you WILL be leaving your home for various reasons at all different times of day and night, right? Will you be teleporting from some location safe inside your home to where you need to go? Where is parking when you live there and how safe is that? How much do you care about your valuables and how safe will they be there at all times? What if there's an emergency and you do have to leave your home at 3:30 am on a Tuesday to go somewhere? I'm not suggesting or implying any sort of answer to any of these questions because I truly have NO idea but I'm just saying these are things you seem to not be thinking about?

If you are only going to the strip on Friday and Saturday nights, I'm not sure why you'd want to live there with all of the baggage that would come with it.

BUT I'm a family girl and a suburbanite, so it's like trying to understand a completely different world and I respect that and can appreciate we're two different breeds. I think if you can make it work it sounds like it could be great and a lot of fun for you. But I would hate for you to overlook these real world type details and get there and hate it when they are brought to your attention.

Now you're being rather silly. I walk from Turnberry Place down Riviera to CVS and Walgreens all the time during the day. It's perfectly fine. Safer than most major city downtown areas I've been in, in fact. Nothing but tourists walking around. Sky itself is a very secure building with an underground garage. And much of that crime you saw happens out behind the Stratosphere in Naked City. You'll have no reason to ever walk over there, especially after dark.

Would I walk it at 3:30 am? Probably not...but mostly because it's way too cold right now.

I see quite a few people wandering the Strip at 3:30 am. I mean not crowds, but people. In fact, I just may have been one of them once or twice!!

RandallR - THANK YOU!

The numbers might be staggering but during the day and if you just use common sense I should be fine.

Gah I know I freak out a lot but I need to stay practical.

AH that's where you're wrong. Not where I live. Ain't nothing happen here. We don't ever lock our doors.

Also, that murder was NOT b/c of an intruder. It was more of a feud between a couple or something. So, as long as I don't move in any crazy ladies I'll be fine...hopefully

Crazy ladies, you want to screw a stripper.

Where you live there is crime, drugs, everything. You just probably don't hear about it because your mommy and daddy don't want to frighten you.

I used to live in a town in Ohio where there were less than 3000 people, and believe me there was crime. Like I've said before get a reality check, and stay where you are if you're so afraid of crime.
