Does anyone know of a support group for the serial troll that is stalking this forum?

The most profound proverb in the world: What we hate the most in others, we see so much of in ourselves!

Per the Troll, I've gone thru periods of extreme hatred of Las Vegas, followed by extreme love. I still go thru these periods, occasionally, but I know, from history, it will all pass with the next view of the snow-capped mountains to the West!

How he describes Las Vegas could apply to Washington DC, equally.

we see many apps where I work that people are 22 and have had 6+ jobs...people are just not going to stay anymore and I think it is because the companies have changed from caring about employees, (i.e. christmas and other parties, buying pizza or other things that show you are doing a good job and passing on compliments) to caring about the bottom line and how much money they can make. My dad retired from Timken in Ohio after 35 years in heat treat(melting steel area) and within 2 years lost his insurance, most of his pension and had to go back to work at a gas station. Companies, ig and small, are in it for the $$$ and not any other reason. Many bigger companies got the U.S. in all this trouble and continued to dish out huge bonuses to themselves while the ones doing the work suffered. Have not found a company that cares about employees as much as they used too, which is very sad. They want 110% from you and give 70% in return....

I was speaking with a long time employee of a major laboratory company a couple of weeks ago and asked her where they were having their Christmas party this year. She said the company stopped having them three years ago because attendance was so poor.

It might have had something to do with what they were serving.

I skipped my mine this year, given the dreadful reports from the one last year, and this past week they had an Employee Appreciation Day and all they served was Nachos, and, mind you, we're the most profitable Rehab facility in the valley!

Oh please! It would have cost me 2+ gallons of gas to get there and I could have run to Del Taco up the street for that for far less! And being I work the nite shift, they always schedule these repasts during my 9a-5p sleeping hours!

Both my employer and my girlfriends have begun nickle and diming us despite profits for both companies increasing. It's a very sad state of affairs. The other side of the coin though is it's reigniting my passion for getting back into and expanding my own ideas to create wealth.

27+ years with the same company. Can't wait to leave and take early retirement. Not a bad company...just tired of the corporate BS.
