Well the main thing stopping my craving Pink is my lack of $$$$$$$, which is going to be the case for the next 18 months

However, Im determined to complete Universal Technical Institute's general automotive course along with the Nissan elective before I make a decision whether or not to return

I just want it to be over now so I can go back. I've been watching a lot of "Vegas" movies today (Vegas Bachelor Party, The Hangover, Pay it Forward, and 21)

BTW, I've been back here a week and already I have a job I will be starting this coming week. I will be working for Kmart (again) but this time in electronics

-I have a much more positive outlook on life

-I have matured GREATLY since before I moved

-I came out here and got to do EVERYTHING I wanted to do and so much more

-I experienced so many things my peers in FL will most likely NEVER experience (ie dating an escort, dating an ex porn star, meeting a TON of celebs, working on the strip at a major casino, multiple trips to Los Angeles)

-Hiking at Red Rock

-Mt Charleston

-Discovering the 2 best neighborhoods ever (Summerlin, Centennial Hills)

Why I Miss Las Vegas

-Seeing the mighty Spring Mountains almost everywhere I went

-Seeing the strip from 215/Summerlin Parkway at night

-All the Station Casinos (specifically Santa Fe, Aliante, and Red Rock)

-Commuting from the Strip via I-15 and US 95 to Centennial Hills as the sun set behind Red Rock Canyon

-98.5 KLUC's Chet Buchanan and the Morning Zoo and the Old School Lunch Hr

-The almost endless supply of free parking (went out this past Friday and paid $10 for 3 hours to park my car )

-Smith's, Publix just isn't the same

-Insert Coins on E Fremont Street

-The M Resort's $5 premium and mixed drinks

-The bright sunny days to put me in a good mood (though FL has lots of those, there are more rainy days in between)

Im homesick for Vegas
Awww! Look how much you got to do! Hang on to that, and maybe some day you can return.

I miss Vegas and I have already been there once! I can't explain it, I just felt this overwhelming feeling that "this is where you are supposed to be." I have not been able to stop thinking about Vegas since. Like you I love to watch anything Vegas related and am counting the days till my next visit. When I returned home after my trip I actually got very depressed. I immediately started looking into relocating and hope to make it a reality by this time next year.

By the time you finish your schooling, the feeling might pass. So much can happen during your schooling time, and you might just want to stay "home" in Florida or even head off to Albuquerque, as you posted that you liked it there on your way back to Florida.

But then again, if your heart leads you back to Vegas, you'll have a skill/trade that will be a step up from the customer service part time, no hours jobs you were getting.

I've told ya before kid, the world is your play pen, so do well in school. That's the first step in securing a better paying job anywhere you may want to go.

And you know I agree, I would miss LV too, if I had to leave. Even when we go on vacation, I hate the part about leaving, I mean, I like to go, but I'm really happy when it's time to come home.

Congrats on the job, btw!!!

I relate totally, to how you felt. Even now, after living here for a bit and then flying back and forth so much, and knowing I have a home here, I get pretty depressed for a couple days. Some is being apart from my husband, but a lot is the sun, the weather period, and the scenery. The people are nicer, everything is newer...I could go on.

The only real negative for me is being away from my kids, but sometimes that slides over to the positive column.

But, I will say, living here is different from vacationing here. Sometimes when we go to the Strip (which is not often) we walk around and wish we were the tourists for a couple days. No worries. Vacation. With that nice feeling of vacation anticipation!

Davie, listen to these smart ladies and stick with it. You have been given a great oppurunity and please don't waste it. I've worked for the same company for nearly twenty years and I've seen quite a few people given the oppurtunity for advancement. Only a few of us took the oppurtunity and went back to school to earn our degree and advance our careers. I've seen quite a few co-workers give up a golden oppurtunity.

While going to school and working full time was difficult, it was the best decision I ever made.
