I noticed on our recent trip that the Bellagio is really going after a young crowd with their club scene while trying to get us old folks to wander into the lounge areas (Lily and Hyde) to pay ridiculous prices for drinks with pretentious names. My reaction to the drink prices - bite me.

Has anyone gotten their water bill yet this month? There is a huge surcharge starting this month. I just got a letter from my apartment office and they said they are going to DOUBLE my water bill.

Our HOA pays the water bill....but i am sure next year they will probably raise our fee's once again to make up for the higher water bills. They stick it to you one way or the other.

I guess that depends on your definition of huge. For most people (those with a 5/8" or 3/4" water meter), the new surcharge is $5/month. I have a 1" meter so my surcharge is $19.21. Those with larger meters will pay even more. The charge is explained on the lvvwd's website and a chart there shows the cost per meter size.

I mean huge percentage wise. My water bill is $11.94 a month, and they said it is going up an additional $10.58 a month because of this surcharge. That is almost a 100% increase. Of course, some places are getting hit much harder....

We have a home, pool on a 1/4 acre lot and our bill ranges around 30-40...40-60 in the summer when we are watering a lot. I haven't seen the most recent bill yet.

does your apt take the bill and split it among the residents or do you have individual meters? i'm guessing its split, and is bigger, hence the larger increase

It is split. I wish we had individual meters.
