I was going to give the boxing gloves to Goodwill anyway. I really didn't want them back, I need to get rid of stuff.

It's just odd to me that she didn't at least say "Hey, I have your stuff." The gloves have my name on them in silver ink...so it's not like it's not obvious they are mine

Oh well, I just gotta laugh about it
She could have at least said she accidentally moved away with your stuff! I would be a little irked by that too if that happened.
I found that book recently at a yard sale for $1. And have seen that title quite frequently in Goodwill for $1. So if you need it again, if I don't find it a "keeper" book, you can have it when I am done with it. Otherwise, check out the thrift stores after you move here. They are all over the valley.

I read about 1/2 of it. Couldn't stand the personality of the woman depicted so I gave up. Because by then I didn't care how it tuned out. I found that I was pulling for her to end her own misery.

You missed a lot then.JMO. But not everything is for everyone.

A lot of the book is about looking inside yourself to find what truly makes you happy. A lot of her experiences mirrored my own and i could really relate. The Pray part of the book us extremely in depth and i learned quite a bit about myself by applying what she learned to my own life. I was at a very low point when I read it and the book was really just what I needed at that time. It lead me to other research ...it was self therapy for me.

I NEEDED to work through my own misery just like she did. And like her I came out at the other end a much better person much more at peace with myself and the world.

I would LOVE to take a trip alone like that.

There's a lot to absorb. Im a fast reader but that book took me awhile. I'd read some then put the book aside to let it digest.
