So, I received an offer to work in Antarctica for the National Science Foundation’s Antarctic Operations. I have not told my wife about it yet and I am 99% sure I won't accept the position. But it seems like a once in a life time opportunity to work and live in a continent that most don't get to visit. Wish I could take my family.

Oh well...

That's pretty awesome. I would probably turn it down, too. Too damn cold.

I was surprised to find out Antarctica is not anywhere as cold as I thought. Although it is cold, I could easily handle it being I am from Salt Lake City. Currently it is 19 degrees.

I went up to Mt Charleston a couple weeks ago. It was 18 degrees. I thought I was going to die.

EA, I was expecting to see -40 or -60 on the forecast. I have experienced temperatures far below 19 degrees in Salt Lake City.

I went to school when it was -36 back in PA. I wore shorts. I used to be able to handle the cold. That all changed when I moved to Florida.
