Both of ours in about a year after we moved here then had to replace both under warranty in about two years. One of the people that helped us told us it's so common they keep a lot of batteries on hand.

I'm buying a battery tender.

I popped the covers off and the fluid level was real low. I added some distilled water, which usually does the trick. Drove it around yesterday no real issue. A little sluggish on a couple starts. This morning it was dead as a doornail.

I would be suspicious that you have something else going on. Something loading it a bit at night.

We had an Alante for some years that ate a battery every six months like clock work. Kind of interesting...think i got 5 warranty replacements in a row before the parts store decided that I did not get a new warranty each time. Apparently they thing would discharge the battery 60% or so each night. Still start and crank in the morning but lots of cycles.

According to the Rogue group on facebook, 24 months is the max for a Rogue battery. Of course the dealership I got it from won't cover it. I've only had it a few months.
The factory Nissan warranty is 3 years BUT only 36k miles. I'm at 54k. Oh well. It's 50 bucks for a new one. I just don't like paying 20 grand for something and already having issues.

How's the rest of your Nissan Rogue experience been, EA? I'm considering a Nissan Sentra SR Turbo or a Nissan Sentra NISMO and I'm interested in how it's gone with your Nissan Rogue.

So the interior ain't bad at all. But the hatch area is a mess. There's these 2 flimsy panels that sit about 2 inches over the spare. The spare is covered by the slippery panel. The top panels have a cover that's held on with 1 piece of velcro. They slide around. NOTHING stays put back there.
The radio takes FOREVER to turn up or down. All the way up is a joke. I'll have to swap speakers and probably add an amp.
But it rides nice. Seats are comfy. It looks good.

My main gripe is the CVT. Those things are garbage. Mine has already had dozens (not exaggerating) of issues. I have to take it into Nissan and have it replaced.
I will NEVER buy another vehicle with a CVT. I won't even recommend to anyone a vehicle with a CVT.
If it had a regular automatic trans I'd probably keep it til it dies or gets hit. As it stands now, once my van gets paid off from the wreck, I'm trading it in for a truck.

Yep. I'll only buy a car with a manual transmission. I haven't heard of problems with Nissan manual transmissions.

Sorry it's gone that way with your Rogue. Nissan needs to design some competent CVT transmissions.

We also have a Nissan Rogue (Star Wars Edition), I love it! No issues so far, it drives so smoothly like on a cloud and very quiet interior that seems luxurious despite only being a $30,000 car. I’ve been impressed with it all around even the fuel economy is great.
