Default Based on the postulate that trolls aren't human...

ha! good call jfk.... lexus seems much more....human now that he's talking about cell phones. weird.

I will add to guinnessjim's post about needing access to internet/texting... I do a lot of work in restricted areas where I can't get to a computer or other forms of "regular" communication. If I'm spending all day there (or possibly several days), I need a way to get in touch with the e-verse. That's why I'm looking into a new phone that has web capabilities.

My main issue with it is that I am already paying a monthly fee. I do not want to have to add on that extra charge for having a Blackberry. I think those are more for professionals that need access to internet at any time. I really don't think it is necessary for a 14 yo.

That said, I heard someone lamenting on the technology that kids have access to and want today. He said the sad part of it is that if you do not make it available to your children, whether you like it or not, they will be so far behind even the most average of children. As JFK noted, all the kids were texting away at the bar. My kids already know far more than I do about computer programs and such. I have a MP3 player on my phone and would not have a clue how to go about utilizing it.

How many hours in day do we want those EMFs cranking around our brains?

I never had a cell phone when I was a kid. I remember when you had cred if you had a pager.
