Nope, that would be FSU.

I can't speak on UF's academic rankings; however, they are one of the top schools athletically with several national championships in basketball, football as well as a top notch golf program.

as for the florida university system... its' terrible
Florida's public schools are average. I graduated from a B high school in 2008. I cannot speak for the universities, but I know there are a lot of them with wonderful opportunities for those who seek them

What makes Nevada's public school systems and universities so crummy? I have actually heard that CCSD is about average with the rest of the country, I could be wrong though

I agree with the poster who said he is young and free. Smart to check this move off your Bucket List now, instead of having to try to do it with baggage. Much more difficult and so many more obstacles.

Young people have been known to pick up and move for decades. Trial and error. You may find you don't like it...then you move on. I don't really think at this point in his life, that this is rocket science. If this is what he so wants...go for it. Who knows, he may end up going to college in CA.

Good luck, Davie!!!!! Some kids your age should be so lucky to have ANY goal in mind, much less one that they are totally researching and working hard towards!!

You Can If You Think You Can!

If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you like to win, but you think you can't,
It is almost certain you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost,
For out in the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will.
It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But soon or late the man who wins,
Is the man who thinks he can.

~ C. W. Longenecker ~

If you are happy with your self assessment...so be it...if not...don't be it.
