I wouldn't blame you one bit. Straight time for a holiday is
BS.

I went by there today, and the sign showed 9pm. Their email showed the wrong time.
So everyone, if you go, it's at 9p.m. Never believe emails, someone can always make a typo.

I have that day off because I have Sundays off. Work at SouthPoint and we get nothing for working holidays.

Exclamation Wildfire on Mount Charleston

The roads leading up to Mount Charleston are all still closed as the wildfire continues.

I have a friend who is currently stuck at the base of the mountain, she's trying to get home to her animals and the police and fire department won't let her, they have people stopped at 95 and Kyle Canyon Road, (Rt. 157). She came down to go to Wal-Mart in Centennial.

The back way, Rt. 158 (Lee Canyon) is closed as well. Both the Lodge and the Hotel have been evacuated.

Prayers to our neighbors up on our beautiful mountain!

The roads have just been re-opened on the mountain, but to residents only

Thanks for the info, I was looking for a place to go see the fireworks, far from the Strip.

Life in one of the the hoods' of Las Vegas...just wonderful!
I'm pickin up what you're puttin down MM. Our block party is a tradition and I have a friend that makes personal red white and blue cheesecakes.

Fireworks are nice but it wouldnt be the same without cheesecake (and blueberry mojitos to wash it down!)

The 4th, Aliante station for free fireworks. All the Station casino's have fireworks. Starts at 10p.m according to the email I received. Just another weekend...
MomMom's plans sound the most fun.
On the 3rd, I'll be heading to Fremont St. to catch Little River Band's free concert. I saw them at GVR in May and they were great.

On the 4th, I'll probably head over to M for their "exclusive invitation only fireworks show." Actually the only reason I might attend is to see just how they make a fireworks show "invitation only." What, are they going to blindfold all the non-invitees?
