Congrats on the new jobs, Davie. BTW, it is easy to avoid traffic (such as it is) in Vegas by using less-commonly traveled routes. For example, although I live off of Tropicana about 6 miles west of the Strip, I can get all the way down to the Strip with no traffic whatsoever by driving straight down Hacienda. In fact, sometimes I'll go the entire distance without seeing as many as 10 cars. Or if I want to go to the north end of the Strip, I can take Hacienda to Dean Martin to Industrial. Again, no traffic and I have the added benefit of chuckling at all of the schm*cks stuck on the I-15.

There are some nice apatments in the area of Dectaur and points west, Davie.

My thanks once again to LVD and his roomie for having me over for the past two weeks. I'm waiting for the bus to take me to my sister's place. I'll post once I get there.

I just need to get back over to the house so that I can get my futon that's on the porch. My sister doesn't have a spare bed, so I'll be sleeping on the floor.

I like the far west side of the valley anyways, Summerlin has always been my favorite part of town. I am willing to spend the money if I dont have to deal with the traffic and problems that are close to the strip when I am off work

BTW I finally get my car out of the body shop today. The silver beauty will be on the roads of Las Vegas in a matter of hours!
Good luck with the new job Davie!

My sister's place is an Iggy free zone. I do have to put up with her four cats.

I tried this out, playing guitar, in the mid 80's, but never quite got the hang of it to play regularly. Then I just put it away and totally forgot about it until now. I think it has to be re-strung.

There used to be a guitar shop on Charleston...about the 1700 block that was really good and really cheap ...

I learned in the early 60's....[the folk song era] but haven't played in years.
