And I got a call yesterday from a friend of mine who's been laid off for the past 3 weeks, she got a job at the Social Security Office on Buffalo for more pay than what she was making at her former job as a office clerk type person for some kitchen remodeling place in North Las Vegas.

Pay is $2 an hour more than what I am getting at Vons. I work for a company called "Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group" they are contracted with MGM. I plan to work for them Friday, Saturday and Sunday, their busiest days. If Vons doesn't like it, tough! Went and took care of the hiring process today, the manger made a copy of my SS card to make sure I am not an illegal immigrant, said he'd call next week

Back in this sauna called Michigan. Egads it is humid.
You sweat just thinking. My backyard is a complete jungle. Obviously, my kids slacked on that responsibility. Supposed to take care of it the last two days, but, alas, lucky for him, it rained both days. Made it a real steam bath here. Yuck. My daughter's excema was completely cleared up in LV, back the minute we landed here. Plus, her asthma is acting up after nothing for a month.
2.5 weeks and I am back in LV. Not soon enough. Only real positive is seeing my kids and the babies.

True, but genes do play a role. G'ma lived into her 90s just fine, other g'pa still going, just celebrated his 95th. Grew up on eggs, meat, potatoes, smoked, had a few drinks now and then, still does. Sharp as a tack and still tries to drive. He has some arthritis which makes it a bit hard. Don't know if I wanna live that long, but it is good to know there are good genes in the family pool. Then again, anything can happen, I suppose.

You sweat just thinking. My backyard is a complete jungle. Obviously, my kids slacked on that responsibility. Supposed to take care of it the last two days, but, alas, lucky for him, it rained both days. Made it a real steam bath here. Yuck. My daughter's excema was completely cleared up in LV, back the minute we landed here. Plus, her asthma is acting up after nothing for a month. 
2.5 weeks and I am back in LV. Not soon enough. Only real positive is seeing my kids and the babies.
