yeah, i'm not their #1 fan either. I actually almost didn't post that since it was from Fux, but my laziness got the better of me.

Garmin GPS Stolen
Figured the chat thread is the most appropriate place for this...
My girlfriend's car was broken into last night. They left the satellite radio and the brand new stereo, but they took the GPS.
If you're browsing around and see a Garmin GPSMap 60c for sale in the Las Vegas area, I'd appreciate it a lot if you could drop me a Direct Message. It'll probably be sold with the cigarette lighter power adapter and the mount that sits on the dash.
Any tip that results in the recovery of my GPS is worth $25.
Click here to see what the GPSMap 60c looks like

i read it, but didn't really feel like commenting, personally, i think you should stay in Las Vegas, Beverly Hills is just OK, but that's just my opinion, I think UNLV suits you, plus where would you go to school in Beverly Hills...

How do you know that we don't read your blog, Lex? Not that I do. My time is online is precious, and the signal to noise ratio is too far out of whack for me.

And Lexus, it does show that there are views on your blog, so besides me, someone else must be viewing it...

Lvkewlkid - I think you NAILED when you said LA seems like one big suburb rather than a city. That's really how sunset strip seemed...like the local cafe down the street...nothing to be excited about. Vegas overall just seems more alive...heck they keep the lights on 24/7...

C'mon, that's not fair to wooden spoons! Have you ever seen a Russian wooden spoon? They're beautiful, and a pleasure to eat with. Now, a plastic spork, that's another story.

When I think of a place that should be the 2nd largest city in the US, it should at least have some better transportation and be more walkable...Although Los Angeles is very dense, it still feels like one big, huge suburb, rather than an actual city...
I also really did like the Jewish areas that I visited and of course the local institution, Canter's! Is there something that so many others see in Los Angeles, that I don't? It just isn't really a city that I can see myself living in long-term or even for a few years...

ugggh...really?
there are certain aspects of LA that vegas can't even remotely compare to...and vice versa.
i have lived in both....love both. so yes, kid...there are many things about LA that you aren't seeing (the beach, the weather, the art, the restaurants, the farmers markets, the mountains, etc.). and lex, you watched a youtube video about sunset strip, a mile or so part of one road out of a city that encompasses almost 500 square miles. won't even get into what's wrong w/ that.
now granted...there are things i disliked about LA (craptastic public transport is a good example). but just as with LV, IMO, the positives remarkably outweigh the negatives.

Given Lex's proclivity for women, he should really be sure to check his kid's homework.
