No harm taken, Mom... you know I still love you!

Thanks for the link... it was actually Brent Thurman that I had no idea about.. My local friends told me about Jerry Tarkanian last night.. (sorry, was never a big sports fan, whattyagonnado?)

I found the bit about Raphael Rivera interesting... never would've known that little bit of info.. go figure!

Default The official Las Vegas Chat Thread

What are some common scams to avoid in Vegas? It looks like the latest scam is these people charging to do "loan modifications." I've seen a lot of ads on craigslist classifieds: jobs, housing, personals, for sale, services, community, events, forums, and it looks very shady. Nothing like taking money from people, who are already down on their luck.

That one is up and running. Not a Las Vegas scam however. Virtually everywhere.

OK, you're right, bring LOTS of money

How's that?

Now for the scam warning from the OP...I've been seeing those ads pop up all over as well, but I also saw lots of advertising for this in SoCali recently, so it's not only here in Las Vegas.

I would never look on Craigslist for any loan mod folk anyways, even if I had a loan that needed modifying...

Hey, I met my girlfriend on Craigslist!

Well, OK, never mind that neither of us was on there for anything date-related ... I still met her there Answer to the next question: We both had ferrets as pets, met by chance, got to be friends then eventually started dating after a few months.

But yes, we met on Craigslist. So there.
