How can you see the clouds when it's dark?

I meant clouds. Chalk it up to the Coke Zero.

In truly dark skies, clouds are black, but they obscure the stars, so you can 'see' them. In light polluted skies (read: Las Vegas), clouds appear as various shades of grey, reflecting the streetlights from below to your eyes.

I like it when the clouds grow green over the MGM Grand. I have to drink Coke Zero, since I'm diabetic.
