You know you will get all opinions here, but it depends on what you are looking to indulge in during your stay.

Gambling, drinking, shows, spas, going somewhere off the Strip, coming during the hotter months, pools...??? Different hotels are better than others for some of these things and some hotels are better priced if you don't really care about the ambiance of the room.

The Mirage is a tropical themed hotel. It's pretty decent with tropical surroundings, the erupting volcano, Jet and Revolution nightclub/lounge and a couple of good restaurants. I find it a bit annoying though because a lot of families with kids flock there to go to Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden, but that's my opinion only.

Planet Hollywood is urban and trendy, with the Miracle Mile Shops for the avid shopper. It's a "hip" kind of place with PLENTY of shopping/dining choices.

The Flamingo is steeped in history, the restaurants are OK in there and not too much shopping, but the lush pool areas are the best on the Las Vegas Strip in my opinion.

Paris is French themed, upscale, plenty of shopping and restaurants...the small scale Eiffel Tower is made to look like it's built right into the property itself. The restaurant at the top is one of my favorites, but it's $$$$

Depends upon what you like. If it were me? I'd go for the historic Flamingo, but that's what I like. For young people I should think the Mirage or Planet Hollywood would be the better choice. In my opinion, Paris is mediocre, but the buffet is good.

Whatever you decide...have fun!

They also offer a "European style" sunbathing pool.

For the pool, definitely Flamingo. See if you can book a GO room if you choose Flamingo. They are nice.

You do not have to hang out at Flamingo for the partying. Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville is there and that is a fun place. Lots of fun places within walking distance from there. Good location. O'Shea's, which has a young crowd is next door.

The other ones are nice too.
