Boyd Gaming offers to buy Station's
Today's Las Vegas Sun Article-
Boyd Gaming is offering to purchase Station Casinos as part of a reorganization plan or a bankruptcy auction.
In a letter delivered to Station's board of directors today, Boyd Chief Executive Officer Keith Smith said his company is prepared to offer about $950 million for the company's "OpCo" casinos, which include Texas Station, Santa Fe Station and the company's Fiesta casinos. Boyd is also interested in purchasing Station's remaining casinos for a yet-to-be-determined price.

No, no, no, no! This would kill competition and would be very bad for the local Vegas player. Boyd does see the blood in the water. All that money to buy Stations with...go finish Echelon first!

excluding Red Rock Resort, Boulder Station, Palace Station and Sunset Station. Boyd is also interested in purchasing Station's remaining casinos for a yet-to-be-determined price.
For now, Boyd's offer includes Texas Station, Aliante Station, Sante Fe Station, Green Valley Ranch and the Fiesta casinos.

Why GVR and not Red Rock?
And what about Stations other stuff like "The Greens" "WildFire" and "Barly's" (Is Barley's a a Station?)

They want GVR and Aliante because Stations only owns 50% of these. Greenspun Corp. owns the other 50% of these....less risk, cheaper buying a 50% stake.
