First things first, get the arena built which will take a couple of years then look at the state of the league to see if relocation is possible. If all goes well, I'll be one of the first season ticket holders so I can see my Caps and current MVP Alex Ovechkin.
The Kansas City Islanders? That just doesn't sound right.

I also would love an NHL team here, although I would be more interested in seeing the Flyers come to town (you and I may have some issues come playoff time).

NHL is first....bet on it. Followed closely be the Sac Kings. Or vice a versa. Three years at the most. The "bad economy" forces moves....and Vegas is the biggest city available.

It snows on top of Mt Charleston every year. It's only rare if it snows on the valley floor.

The day that we get a pro team is the day the devil ice skates to work.

The NBA is borrowing $175 million to keep franchises afloat....$175MILLION (http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/afp/090226/sports/basket_nba_economy_1 - broken link)

See last line in article....."The Sacramento Kings are another likely candidate to dip into the loan funds after reports earlier this month said the California club could lose as much as 25 million dollars this season."

Let me be the first to welcome the Kings to Las Vegas.

The Arizona Cardinals doesn't strike you as odd?

Did you watch the game the other night? Your Flyers put a hurting on my Caps just like last year's playoff series. At least they made a nice comeback last night against the Thrashers 4-3

Could you imagine the KC Islanders??? There is talk about it over in the hockey forum. I could only imagine them playing in those uniforms they wore a few years ago with the sea captain on the front and the fans in Uniondale stating "We want fish sticks", courtesy of the Gorton's fisherman ads. LOL.

Sorry about the threadjack folks.

Joisey!

Here's the thing, though...

Being from KC, I'd love to see them get an NHL team in their beautiful new arena. I'd love to see them revive the "Scouts" name, too.
