There was a thread about this recently. It won't happen because of the gambling, and lack of professional level venues.

The only team I really care about is the Niners, and as much as I like them, I'd never want them to pull an Al Davis.

there WILL be a NHL team soon. Soon as the LAs Vegas Arena built by AEG is up. Las Vegas and Kansas City are suppsed to get teams.

While I would like that, it will be at least 3 years before there is even consideration for an NHL team to put down roots here. Granted there is word that the Islanders might move to KC and Phoenix is in bad financial shape.
First things first, get the arena built which will take a couple of years then look at the state of the league to see if relocation is possible. If all goes well, I'll be one of the first season ticket holders so I can see my Caps and current MVP Alex Ovechkin.  |
