Holy Batman! 70% of foreclosures have yet to hit the MLS or market. What are the banks waiting for? Up 2000 from a few weeks ago.

You actually use Realty Trac? I thought they were just a scam. And your link just goes to the home page...and that says foreclosures are down, plus it has nothing to do with Vegas.

Yup.. off by 3 times on the number REOs...apparently never take the ones sold off. I would think their other numbers are equally credible.

Fannie, Freddie, Citi, JP Morgan, BofA, etc., have all extended or introduced foreclosure moratoriums until March 6 or March 12, depending on the lender. This is the second such moratorium extension. It's going to be interesting to see what the numbers do once the moratorium finally passes.

Actually it's the other way around. Banks have yet to list the inordinate amount of properties sitting on their books. Foreclosure moratoria doesn't do anything - just putting off the inevitable. RealtyTrac is actually very reliable and is cited by Bloomberg and CNBC almost as much as Olecapt.

I often wonder why people post doom and gloom about Vegas, especially if they live here. What's the matter, don't you have the link for Persian Kitty?

I often wonder why people click into threads that are clearly titled as a topic that they don't care to discuss, and then proceed to complain about the subject matter.

Default Produce the Note

Has anyone used the Produce the Note strategy to forestall a foreclosure in Clark County? I have a friend who is facing that situation in Las Vegas and is curious about it.
