I know Vegas has a reputation as being a someone gruff and unfriendly town but I must say that my wife and I have met nothing but friendly people since we got our condo. Everyone has been very nice, every store clerk has been wonderful, every delivery person exceptional, all our neighbors have been friendly.

Thank you to everyone!

Yes indeed. And thank you for the pick-me-up.

I have been watching for 2 days as my neighbor moves out of their forclosed home, a real bummer.

I have lived in most states in the mid-atlantic region and none had people as friendly as Las Vegas.

The members of this forum are very reflective of Las Vegas' best.

Vegas does not have have a reputation for for being gruff or unfriendly. I can not understand where you heard that. The neighboring states of Arizona and California fit that bill, but not here.

Yeah, I had never heard that either. Everyone here seems average to nice as far as I've seen.

I am from Phoenix where people are very snobby and unfriendly in general. Not all, but most. Same thing when I was in California. When I came here, I noticed a big difference, people are generally warm and friendly.

Totally agree! As someone from MI, I could clearly see the difference the first time I went into a gas station. And most all places since then!

Actually, Vegas does have that reputation. I've heard it before I moved to Vegas and I have definitely witnessed it since living here. And it's easy to see why considering that the town always has been transient in nature.

As to the post, there are indeed many wonderful people here. I used to work for a casino company and I was always amazed by the giving nature of our employees. Most of the time, our hard-working line employees gave more than the executives (who were making six figures).

Thats mainly why im considering moving to vegas. People are very easy going and nice. I think its because of how non judgmental the city is. This is something good to here from residents

Every weekend 10% of Los Angeles drives here. Those are the people you heard about.
