Hi I am looking for a 3 month lease. Im willing to spend 1100 - 1500. Im willing to negotiate price if its over 1500 but would really like to keep it in the ball park. Must be safe and near or on the strip. Also, should I be concerned about leasing a place then it getting foreclosed?

Thanks in advnce

Can you give some specifics? Are you working at a particular casino on the strip? The strip is several miles long -- which part do you want to be close to? How close is close? 1 mile? 5 miles?

Lots of apartment complexes in vegas do short term leases; I know Aviata (which is in your price range) does 3-months, or at least they used to. It's a few miles from the Strip... don't know if that's too far for you.

Try one of the sites like Rent.com or Apartments.com.... there is usually a search feature that will allow you to look for short term rentals. Craigslist LV is also a good place to check. Once you find out some places that fit your needs, people on the forum can tell you more about the neighborhood, safety, etc. of particular locations.

You might be concerned about leasing a house or condo that is in forclosure, but I think you can check that out before you sign a lease.

Within a mile or so. This is just an extra vacation spot - a place I can just visit anytime I want.

Any realty websites I could see specific condos that meet my criteria in the area like in the high rises? I dont trust craigslist etc.

Right. 3 months, on or near strip, 1100-1500mo, high rise, will negotiate some.

Can anyone direct me on what's available? I know there's a lot available but I would like to view specifics. No craiglist or anything sketchy.

Also, shouldn't prices be cheaper? Trump is 2000mo when they start leasing in 30 days. The place is bankrupt for Christ sake. Why do the high rises still charge high prices most are half empty anyway...

Let it be. He wants 90 days at Signature or Trump for $50 a night.

He might get it. They are hungry. But he will probably have to move to Motel 6 for 6 or 8 nights.

Trump here is not bankrupt by the way.

What do you mean? I said 1100 to 1500.

What are prices looking like currently at these places and how much should I bargain?
