ok so me and my soon to be wife are wanting to move to vegas she is in biz/marketing and im a bouncer.
what is the job market like over there. i would think neather of us would have a problem finding a job but i just thought i would ask for some opnions from people who live there......any help?
we are going to be there in april for a car show and we are going to look around then but if i can get a heads up first that would be great

jobs are scarce in the hospitality restaurant environment.. you have to start from the bottom

i would say for sure look around while you are out here, but if you have jobs where you are at it might pay to wait for a while and see where the economy goes. new ppl will always feel the cuts first.

that being said, i don't really know nething aside from what i read here re: the job market outside my field (science)

Take a look at our local paper online. Then figure 400 plus apps for jobs for her and 800 plus apps for jobs for you. Check it out on your visit. I don't think I am far off. Good Luck.

you think there is 800 people in vegas trying to get a job as a bouncer?!?!? i did some calling around today the first call i did no-one wanted to even talk to me the very next place i called offered me a job.....too bad its going to be a few months until i move....ugh im praying i get lucky like that when im actualy ready to move

they offered to a job over the phone? someone was playing games.. you have to jump through alot of hoops, get your cards, backround check (spotless?), drug test etc.. If i had to guess, for every job opening, there are 500 applicants..

All you have to do is look at the jobs section in the review journal, used to be page after page after page, now its 3 or 4 pages...
