LOL. You are right. LV isn't the only place people from Detroit are fleeing to tho', they are just fleeing...

As far as St. Paddys in Vegas. Nowhere NEAR the popularity there as it is here in Detroit. Geesh. For days before and up until then people are crazy! Tents up at all the bars and you smell corned beef and cabbage everywhere. Beads flying everywhere which means plenty of topless sightings for the men! Crazy peeps here. I have been in Vegas during St. Paddys and it was mundane in comparison.

But, in Detroit, when there is a specific reason-they do it up!!! Got to so you don't go stir crazy. Myself, I prefer to avoid that craziness here, too many drunk drivers and idiots out there. I would rather go out when it is a bit more subdued.

I actually like that part of the country - my sister lives in Livonia - and it's too bad things are the way they are, because I really like the people and the culture.

St. Pat's in KC is pretty big as well - but in Memphis, they do NOTHING. At least Las Vegas actually celebrates it!

yeah....LV celebrated it, kinda. they had guinness and smithwicks on FSE at one stand. there was an band playing irish drinking songs at one point. but kinda reserved atmosphere.

that being said, it was on a tuesday....

it was kinda hit or miss in LA....but fun if you found the right spot, drank enough.

nothing like it was in milwaukee or chicago.

Patty's was a joke where I currently live. I checked out 5 different bars... and you would never know it was a special night. No concerts or celebrations. Very few people wearing green
