I have no idea, since I rarely get out that direction. What I'd like to know what is that tower shaped build out on BLM land, north of Jones, out in the desert, at the base of the Sheep Range. I see cars driving out to it, on dirt paths.

YOu talking about the quarry? The big hole? They have been digging there for some years to provide gravel and such to Las Vegas Construction.

In the end game they may very well fill it in.

Hah, what are they gonna fill it with? More gravel? Then some other place is gonna have the trouble and it's gonna be a horrible circle of endless digging.

That goes on all the time. I believe the license for that quarry expires soon and there is a planning operation under way for that site. Considering a high school for that site among other things.

There is an unending supply of dirt going and coming. Construction debri and other stuff. It is not unusual here to refill a quarry. I believe they were doing that to the one out Buffalo by Trop...

I've heard the same thing. Coinciding with the completion of the Summerlin Pkwy-Far Hills overpasses if I remember correctly.

Speaking of the Summerlin Pkwy & Far Hills interchanges being built, are they on schedule with completing those by the end of this year? I noticed that the Far Hills overpass is finally done.
