I use Cox internet and I have the median speed, $54.95 per month. Customer service has been spotty. Sometimes I get someone who wants to help, other times I get people who want to blame my hardware for every problem (wireless routers are their favorite scapegoats). A coworker was told that she needed to buy a new computer to get her internet connection working again (after it had worked fine for years). I bought a new modem once at the recommendation of a high-level Cox technician only to find out that service was out to my entire area and my hardware was fine (I was able to return the modem for a refund, fortunately). Apparently he tried to troubleshoot my problem without checking the service status in my neighborhood.
