There are lots of new ones around town now that our population is 25% Hispanic. I've been curious about Casa Don Juan, but it's hard for me to go there. I used to eat in a dive that was in that building back in the early 70s when I couldn't afford better, and I haven't been back in there since.

Been in LV now for about 4 months - I don't do a lot of eating out, but one place I've found that's definitely worth a mention is Mollie's Kountry Kafe on Jones & Cheyenne. It's a breakfast/brunch place (closes in early afternoon) and it's a bit pricy for a breakfast place, but the portions are large and the food is great.

Casa Don Juan is excellent and definitely not a dive. Try their fresh fruit smoothies while you're there.
Heading north on Main Street past Charleston, you'll run across the El Sombrero that is a tiny little hole in the wall with awesome food too.

Been driving by that place for years and it never looks open. Is it really that good? Is it as good as the Original Pancake House or the Cracked Egg???
Another good breakfast and lunch place that hasn't been mentioned (has it?) is Jams on Rainbow in the Home Depot center.

My breakfast of choice is Bagelmania on Twain/Swenson.

I just reread this thread and found myself drooling.....It's been so long since I've had really good authentic mexican food, I just can't wait. I'm gonna write down ALL these restuarants and when I come out in the next couple weeks I'm going to try as many as my stomach will allow....and when I get tired of mexican food, I'll move on to t-bones......so much choice....I love it!!! Thanks for all the good references!

Just had dinner tonight at one I hadn't mentioned before...Sushi Ko at Craig and Tenaya. Excellent Tappan grill, great menu, and good sushi. There is an Italian restaurant right next to it that has very good food but maybe a little overpriced. I can't remember the name but you can't miss it.
