I though that it was, as a left over from when they built the dam, and policed the workers morals.

AL, Boulder City hasn't been dry for 30 years or so. It is still the only town in Nevada that doesn't allow gambling though. Yes, both restrictions were left over from when the government owned the town. Thus, Bootleg Canyon. But after a fight by the voters many years ago they decided they didn't want to drive to Henderson for drinks any more. Besides it's good for the tourist business.

If I ever visit the place again, I'll be sure to get a dam beer to go with my dam dog.

Tasted mo'lady's hot dog...not impressed, but I'm from WV so I'm spoiled. I had a brat with sauerkraut that was very good though. I did the pilsner (sp?), and my wife had hefeweizen (sp?). Both were very good beers but I preferred the pilsner.

Hey Guinnessjim, will they let you sit at the sidewalk tables with your dogs? My dogs are gonna be so mad... We didn't take them because we couldn't leave them in the car while we ate.
