Default relocating to las vegas need advice

I am looking to move to las vegas but I don't know what area to move to. I would like an area that has a nice atmosphere, nice view. maybe mountains. quite & secluded area. not to far away from the strip. Nice place to rent.

A rental in Summerlin (on the west side) would meet your needs. Close to mountains and Red Rock Canyon, access to downtown via I-95 and about as quiet as Vegas can get.

Get a realtor and tell him/her all your requirements. He/she'll take you all over and show you the homes in your criteria. That could be anywhere as you can see the mountains from anywhere. But there are developments being built right up to the mountains on all four compass points. Just stay away from the east side of town and you'll be happier with your investment. You might start at Desert Shores near one of the lakes. You'd not only have the lake view, but possibly mountain views too, looking both west and, in some cases, north.

Don't overlook the amenities of some of our inner city neighborhoods. I have a great view of the Strip from my townhouse near Desert Inn & Pecos, believe it or not! Been on the near east side for 13 years now and I've always considered it to be very safe. Never any problems.

And you can't beat the construction of the 60's and 70's. The stucco is so thick on my townhouse I need a drill to put a screw into it. Beats the paper-thin stucco on the newer houses. And back then, they built garages for the cars of that era. I could park three smaller cars in my garage. Lots of space and quality construction and lots of shopping nearby. 6 grocery stores within 6 blocks of my house. Can you beat that? Urban living at its best!

Eat your hearts out, all you living in those new high-rises downtown with no grocery stores within sight of a telescope!

It all depends on what you want to pay and what you consider not to far from the strip. There is mountain area's Close to Summerlin and Henderson Lake Las Vegas. But your talking at least 30 to 40 minutes away if your looking for secluded. There are homes on man made lakes in the Lakes at Las Vegas, and Desert Shores.

For the most part Nieghborhoods are quiet if they have HOA's that are active.

Hope this helps

Centennial Hills is a new suburban area that is very nice. It is right at the intersection of the 95 and the 215 Beltway so it is eay to get too.
