Or if they were againts other ethnic groups? The Asian population is still very small here though. I don't think I've even met a Cambodian here in Vegas. Heck, Japanese are even rare here, all the Japanese restaurants are owned by Koreans.

Once again, because LV is an "open" town; every segment of every ethnic gang is allowed to "earn" here. Unless a direct offense, or crime is committed against another group, the in-fighting will not exist here. There is simply TOO MUCH CASH flowing through LV----plenty of opportunities for all.

So did anyone see the 2 hour special on LV gangs tonight? There are even more then I thought.
The general thought was that Las Vegas always has and always will have the gangster mentality. And because of so much cash flowing around it just invites gangs.
The Donna St gang is known to be the most violent. Most of those murders never made it on the news. Then again little of anything makes it on our news since they are too busy doing weather reports for 20 of the 30 minutes.
I sometimes feel I have a pretty good feel on the pulse of what goes on here. I knew there were gangs but not like this show portrayed. I guess if we stay away from drugs we wont get in their way and will never have to deal with them.

Who knows? One might be at Roberto's, Sam Woo's, Ferraro's, or Church's, and get caught in crossfire.

True. We all know how many innocent people were just standing in the wrong place at the wrong time.
But we cant live our lives being afraid. We can and must always be aware of our surroundings and trust no one. Survival skills is not something instinctive for most people.
Who the hell is Sam Woo?

There are Asian gangs, but they're not in any way "pan-Asian", the most active are the Flipside Pinoyz(yes, its spelled wrong but that's how they spell it), Lao Boyz, and someone mentioned Samoans in the thread, there are the Samoan Crips.
There are also a lot of wannabes, mainly tagging crews. Illegal street racing is big among Asian teens and those participating in it tend to be grouped into various cliques which have been known to get violent towards each other.
