That is reasonably good sized and likely older home. Mre than 500K and over 3000SF I would guess. Those bills substantially exceed ours which is a 22 year old sprawling ranch of about 3000SF. We have only electric which peaks at 550 or so in the summer and drops to 350 in the winter...200 in spring and fall. We pay $40 for Dish Network, 45 for Cox internet. Phones are too complicated to deal with. We are on a well that runs $50 a month.
With moderate sized new build the heating cooling will generally peak at $125 or $150 per month.

A little off topic, but I know a lady who has a 7000 sq ft home and says she has a 5000 dollar a month electric bill. Everyone on the bus laughed at her because we never heard of something like that. We think she is using a lot of lamps to grow something, if you know what I mean. Her stories are always changed, lol. BTW: she also lives in GV Ranch.

It's 12 years old and is a two story 3063 sf home, with lots of big windows and tall ceilings (20 feet high in the formal living and dining area). There is a heated in ground spa with a large lot for our neighborhood (.17 acre) with lots of grass that needs watering. Other houses like this one in the neighborhood have sold for $700K, but that was over a year ago, there are many "for sale" that are not moving at this time. Good thing I'm not ready to sell right now.

She's on the bus because she can't afford a car- all of her money goes to paying the electric bill...lol.

Her stories are always full of holes, apparently she bought a brand-new BMW for 200 dollars but she can't drive it because her license was taken away...

And you like to suggest that people should feel comfortable riding the bus. Yeah, that's the kinda people I want to spend my morning commute chatting with. Cuckoo.....cuckoo......
