Question What's happening with all those refrigerators, dishwashers, etc?

When I look at photos of LV condos, I see spaces is many kitchens where a dishwasher or refrigerator or stove went. What's happened with all those appliances? Are they stripping them or are they going to some store to sell?

They strip the appliances (and other items) for family, friends or to sell on Craigs List.

Hit the weekend swap meet on Pecos. Many end up there.

Appliances were a big selling point for me. I told my agent to stop showing me properties with no fridge, no washer/dryer, no dishwasher. I just did not want to deal with having to buy all of that right off the bat. Yes, I do not NEED a dishwasher, but I did not know what to do with the huge vacant spot in the kitchen.

In the end, one of the major reasons I bought the place I did was because even though it was a foreclosure, it was move in ready. It had all the appliances.

Yes, people sell them because they are broke, but a lot get rid of the appliances as a way to stick it to the bank. It's ridiculous.

remember that it is NOT unusual for the refridgerator to be EXCLUDED from the sale....dishwasher is built in so it has to be included....

Look at all the condos for sale on realtor.com, and you will see many spaces for dishwashers and ranges.

I know someone who is buying a condo where all the fixtures were removed by the previous owner before he vacated the house and let it go into forclosure. She heard he sold the refrigerator, oven, fans, blinds etc. on eBay.
