Texas is not as pretty, has humidity and housing is more expensive.

I agree 100% on this. Maybe it depends where you are coming from, but for me coming from MI, it was only 400 dollars less than having a moving company do it. With the fact that the moving co. loaded and unloaded at both ends that was well worth the extra 400. Plus, they disassemble your beds at both ends too. Moving into an upper apt. I did not want to do it myself and we would have had to hire movers so that would have put us even with PODS and then there is the ins. If they mess it up, they pay for it. (that included full ins.)
