The northwest is typically a safe bet. Even if the zoning gets shuffled, none of the schools up there are bad, as long as you stay far enough west....

Don't worry too much about the schools parents are the most important factor. Our son went to Lomie Heard the elementary school on base. When he started middle school we moved off base (North Las Vegas). He is doing just fine in middle school making straight A's and an active member of the Junior Honor Society. Almost all middle and high schools in Clark County have accelerated programs.

Unfortunately they way the developers built houses here you will not have much of a yard. Now is a great time to buy, prices are way down. $1500 in BAH will cover the mortgage easily on a house that should meet your family's needs.
