Meeting People In Vegas
Hey there everyone,
I'm living in Vegas for the summer while doing an internship with LVMPD. I don't start for another week and it's pretty rough just hanging out alone. I'm a 19 year old girl and I have no idea how to meet people out here. Any local suggestions?
Thank you!

Leave the gun at home.
How can you avoid meeting people? Almost everyone here is friendly. Be open to new experiences and use good judgement, friendships will follow.
I would suggest specific places, but that would fall under the category of personal tastes.

A 19 year old girl should have NO problems meeting people in Vegas! Welcome to the forum and good luck with the LVMPD.

18-20 is a tough age group here in Vegas....you're an adult (and thus too old for many kid things), but also too young to enjoy the nightlife (which perhaps isn't a bad thing, since nightlife out here is super expensive anyway). Which makes things kind of boring out here at that age if you don't have a good group of friends to hang out with.
Anyway, you'll probably meet plenty of other students your age once you start the internship. Make friends with them.
You could also try checking out the stuff right around UNLV. Summer classes started this week, so there will be some students around your age hanging out at the Student Union on campus (anyone can go hang out at the student union - they don't check at the door to see if you're a student or not).

I disagree. Like I said, Vegas is not really a town for the 18-20 crowd. There isn't a whole lot out there for that age group.

Have we been here before, or are we yet to come?

Do you belong to any youth groups back home? Both the Rainbow Girls and Jobs Daughters are very active here.

Earlier in the thread, I recommended the gun range, but it looks like the post was deleted? Are gun ranges a verboten topic here?
